London Museums
The Imperial War MuseumPossibly the greatest military museum in the world, complete with military hardware dating from 1914 onwards. It is a great experience for all generations, and is especially popular with school parties. The first World War galleries give a trench experience and has on display one of the original tanks.
The National Army Museum
On a smaller scale than the Imperial War Museum, the National Army Museum presents a brilliant perspective of the role of the British Army throughout the war (and indeed other wars)from recruitment to peacetime.
The Regimental Museums
The museums of the Household Cavalry, The Footguards and The Royal Fusiliers all have excellent World War 1 exhibitions.
